EPE Awardees

The EPE Awards are presented annually to honour outstanding achievements in power electronics and more generally in the field of EPE activities.

Four types of awards may be bestowed during the EPE-ECCE Europe Conference:

Outstanding Achievement Award

Paolo Mattavelli, for the contributions in the field of power electronic converters and in particular in the analysis, modelling and control of grid-connected converters and dc-dc converters. The innovative research and contributions by Professor Paolo Mattavelli have brought substantial progress to power electronics.

Outstanding Achievement Award

Peter Zacharias, for the contributions in the field of power electronic converters and in particular in passive, magnetic components. The book “Magnetic Components – Basics and Applications” is fundamental for the design, research, teaching, and industrial development processes. The innovative research and contributions by Professor Zacharias have brought substantial progress to power electronics.

Outstanding Service Award

Mario Marchesoni, for his constant support to EPE activities, to EPE- and now EPE ECCE Europe conferences, and in particular for being the General Chairman of the EPE ECCE Europe 2019 Conference.
