![]() | Bifurcations in a High Frequency Time-Sharing Inverter
By Nagy I., Dranga O., Masada E.*
Abstract: The main objective of the paper is to highlight the bifurcations in a high frequency time-sharing inverter. First, the paper presents the basic configuration and the mode of action of the inverter. This is followed by the steady-state analysis of the inverter with open loop and with closed feedback control. The analysis of the nonlinear dynamic system is performed both by approximate mathematical study and by simulation. It enables us to discover subharmonic generation in certain operation range and to draw the so-called bifurcation diagrams. The paper offers physical insight into the strange behavior of the inverter.

By Horváth M., Borka J. | |
Abstract: The weight and outer dimension of inductive and capacitive elements in the energy converters can be significantly decreased by increasing the switching frequency, besides, the control speed faster by orders of magnitude can be achieved. Neither the technical and economic advantages of the dimension and weight decrease of inductive and capacitive elements, e.g. energy transfer transformers, filters etc., nor the favourable features of higher operating frequency require a detailed explanation. High frequency energy transfer can be applied in almost all the fields of the electric industry. It is also true for the technological procedures, e.g. welding, cutting, surfacing that makes use of the heat effect of electric arc.

![]() | The Constant-Frequency Multi-Resonant Half Bridge Configuration Converter
By Wojtkowski W., Jalbrzykowski S., Citko T.
Abstract: A constant - frequency multi - resonant DC/DC converter is presented in article. It is a modified series resonant DC/DC converter operating above the resonant frequency. To the converter configuration a bi-directional transistor switch anti-parallel to the capacitor was introduced. By control the conduction time of this transistor's switch the converter output voltage is regulated. The simulation results and results of the experimental investigations are presented in the paper.

By Borka J., Horváth M. | |
Abstract: The aim of the work described in the paper was to substitute of the traditional, welding equipment of rotary machine driven by internal combustion engine on field with an up-to-date, energy-saving, environment-friendly electronic welding system operated from an accumulator plant. In the course of R&D, a welding equipment family has been developed which is applicable to all kind of welding technology.
