![]() | Control Of Swing-Up And Stabilization For An Inverted Pendulum
By Xiaodong Zhao, Li Chai, Rong Yang
Abstract: Modern control theory is now developed to provide
an authentic design technique for synthesizing practical control
systems. In particular, the lack of appropriated friction
nonlinear model for the pendulum makes interesting the task of
design a robust controller. In this paper, both design methods
(LQR and H ‡ ) are illustrated by simulation with an inverted
pendulum case. The differences of performance between these
two methods are compared and investigated according to the
simulation results. To find a "good" trade-off between the
multi-objective specifications (mixed H2 and H ‡), an optimal
multi-objective controller based on the LMI theory is designed.
A strategy of energy control for swinging up a pendulum from
its stable downward position to its upright position is illustrated
at the end of this paper. The experimental result shows the
whole successful procedure of swinging up a pendulum and
balancing it at its steady-state upright position.

![]() | Control Of Two Two-Level Voltage Rectifiers - Five Level NPC Voltage Source Inverter. Application To Induction Motor Drive.
By R. Guedouani, E. M. Berkouk, B. Fiala, M. S. Boucherit, M. Tebib, N. Belhadj
Abstract: The middle point voltage of the input DC voltages
of the five-level NPC voltage source inverter presents serious
problems caused by a fluctuation of the DC voltage sources
Uc1, Uc2, Uc3, Uc4. As consequence to these problems, we
obtain an output voltage inverter which is asymmetric and
with average value different from zero. In this paper , we will
present one solution to minimize this fluctuation. This
solution uses two two-level voltage PWM rectifiers to supply
the five-level NPC voltage source inverter with clamping
bridge. As application of this cascade, we study the
performances of the three phases induction machine fed by
this association. This drive system can find applications in
great power and high voltage fields as electrical traction.

![]() | Experimental Determination Of Systemeigenfrequencies On Electrical Drives
By Roland Lach, Stefan Soter, Ralf Wegener
Abstract: The presented measuring method describes away to
determine the resonance frequencies of a multimass system
like an electrical drive. While the system is stimulated with a vibration
exciter at one position, the acceleration is measured at other
positions. The system eigenfrequencies and the deformation can
be calculated from the core propagation movability.

![]() | Improvement Of Torque And Flux Control In DTC Method
By Andrzej Sikorski, Marek Korzeniewski
Abstract: DTC method operation analysis to explain the flux
and current distortion for the small speed of motor operation is
discussed in the article. As results this observations the method
DTC scheme modification is proposed. The modified DTC
method is free from the conventional DTC method
disadvantages. The dynamical properties of new method are
similar to conventional DTC method. It is important that in the
modified method the conventional switching table is used.
Correctness of new method is confirmed by laboratory
investigations.

![]() | Modelling, Analysis & Designing Of Vector Control Of Fixed Frequency Current Controlled PI Controller For PWM Inverter - Fed Synchronous Motor Drive
By D. K. Trivedi, K. B. Khanchandani
Abstract: This paper describes the development of vector
control of fixed frequency current controlled PWM inverter fed
synchronous motor drive. The objective is to study the
feasibility of the implemented scheme for the vector control of
fixed frequency Current controlled PWM inverter fed selfcontrolled
synchronous motor for unity power factor operation
with high performance.
A mathematical model and a digital control principal for
controlling the synchronous motor are described. A systematic
simulation in simulink is carried out for verifying the feasibility
of theoretical modeling and controller design. An experimental
prototype system is constructed for correlating with the
theoretical results. The experimental results closely follow
simulated results, thus validating the proposed control method.

![]() | Robustness Of Currents Input-Output Decoupling In Vector Control Of A Doubly Fed Induction Machine
By Salloum Georges, Ghosn Ragi, Pietrzak-David Maria, De Fornel Bernard
Abstract: This paper deals with a Doubly Fed Induction
Machine (DFIM) of which both stator and rotor are supplied by
two voltage source inverters. A non-linear state-space
representation of the DFIM with a new input-output current
decoupling approach is presented. A vector control algorithm
using a speed sensor is implemented. High dynamic
performance is obtained for the currents, which allows also
good dynamic performance for stator and rotor fluxes, torque
and speed. It is also shown that the proposed control law is
almost insensitive to the variations of the structural parameters
of the machine.

![]() | Rotor Flux Oriented Control Of Doubly Fed Induction Machine
By Sejir Khojet El Khil, Ilhem Slama-Belkhodja, Maria Pietrzak-David, Bernard De Fornel
Abstract: This paper presents a comparison between two
algorithms of rotor flux oriented control of a doubly fed
induction machine (DFIM) supplied by two voltages PWM
inverters in stator and rotor. A power distribution between stator
and rotor is considered. A mathematical model of the DFIM for
the control strategy is defined in the rotor reference frame. The
structure of each algorithm is presented. Simulation results
under Matlab-Simulink illustrate the performances of each
algorithm control and to compare them.

By Bezrukov D., Bezrukov V., Bezrukov Vl.
Abstract: The significance and possibilities of including of the
VIRAC radio telescope RT32 into the EVN are evaluated. The
characteristic and evaluation of availability index and technical
conditions of radio telescope motion drive hardware are given.
The possibility of the drive reliability improvement and the
energy consumption optimisation are reviewed. The possible
project of the antenna motion drive and control system with an
exploration of voltage converters is considered.
