Abstract   This paper deals with a Doubly Fed Induction Machine (DFIM) of which both stator and rotor are supplied by two voltage source inverters. A non-linear state-space representation of the DFIM with a new input-output current decoupling approach is presented. A vector control algorithm using a speed sensor is implemented. High dynamic performance is obtained for the currents, which allows also good dynamic performance for stator and rotor fluxes, torque and speed. It is also shown that the proposed control law is almost insensitive to the variations of the structural parameters of the machine.
