![]() | Distributed Motion Control - Use of "Function Chart", a SIMULINK add-on Block Library
By G-H. Geitner; R. Schönfeld
Abstract: The paper presents a SIMULINK add-on block library as an interdisciplinary and universal tool for description, diagnosis, design and real-time code generation of event-driven multidimensional motion systems based on a guide line. This library extends the drag and drop technology of SIMULINK to event-driven simulations without the use of a compiler or a special window. Parallel sequences are programmable by means of several function charts and/or parallel branching within one function chart. The activation of error-sequences, the transmission of control signals and the display of active states without visible connections guarantee a high graphical clearness. States may be defined as complexly as it is necessary and error handling sequences can be clearly initiated in subfunction charts. Examples illustrate the application of available realized modules. The library may be applied to event-driven systems of mechatronics, mechanical and electrical engineering.

By D. Szabo; P. Szemes; T. Ruzsányi; P. Korondi
Abstract: In this paper a conventional inverted model based and a sliding mode based disturbance observer are
compared with simulations. The system studied is a DC servo drive with position control. Theoretical
grounds and simulation results are presented.
