![]() | Multi-Objective Optimization and Comparison of Multi-Level DC-DC Converters using Convex Optimization Methods
By Andrija STUPAR | |
Abstract: Multi-level flying-capacitor converters are a promising topology for low-power applications. Conventionalbuck, 3- and 4-level converters have been modeled as a geometric program and optimized for lossand volume. Results show that 3- and 4-level converters are both smaller and more efficient over a widerange of design parameters.

![]() | Quasi Resonant LED Driver with Coupled Current Doubler Rectifier
By Alexander ABRAMOVITZ
Abstract: This paper describes the topology and operation of a quasi-resonant driver for LED lighting applications. The proposed driver incorporates a current doubler rectifier and capacitive safety isolation barrier. Variable frequency constant on-time dimming strategy is employed. Capacitive isolation helps eliminating the isolation transformer. The proposed theory is suggested and verified by simulation and experiment.

![]() | Quasi Resonant Totem Pole LED Driver
By Alexander ABRAMOVITZ
Abstract: A simple and low cost quasi resonant LED driver is proposed. Prominent merits of the proposed topology are low line current distortion and reduced switch voltage stress. This paper presents the principle of operation of the proposed circuit, analysis of average power and switch voltage and current stress. Theoretical predictions are supported by simulation and experiment.

By Alfons KLOENNE | |
Abstract: This paper presents a highly configurable DC/DC power supply fed by the popular USB port.It features buck and boost behavior with variable output voltage together with high efficiency by usageof the ZETA-topology. Furthermore smart power supply functions are implemented to control andmonitor output values with a graphical user interface.
