![]() | Design of Current Controllers for Active Power Filters using Naslin Polynomial Technique
By DUMITRESCU Ana-Maria; MAGUREANU Razvan; GRIVA Giovanni; BOJOI Radu; BOSTAN Valeriu
Abstract: Low power factor and increased current harmonic content are some of the negative effects of static power converters usage. To correct these disadvantages, active power filters with complex current control schemes can be used. This paper proposes an new method for tuning the resonant controllers also known as Proportional Sinusoidal-Signal-Integrator (P-SSI) controllers, based on Naslin Polynomials Theory.

By PLOTKIN Juriy; HANITSCH Rolf; SCHAEFER Uwe
Abstract: A possible reason for a low power quality at the output of a 132 MW wind farm is investigated. A resonant circuit formed by the wind farm components is found to be responsible for a high level of the dominating 7th current harmonic. Various compensation strategies are proposed and analyzed.

![]() | Three Phase Four Wires LC Coupled Shunt Active Power Filter (APF): New topology and control
By LAMICH Manuel; BALCELLS Josep; GONZALEZ David; GAGO Javier
Abstract: This paper presents a new structure and control method for three phase four wires LC coupled parallel active power filters (APF) for harmonics cancellation. The main differential point with regard to other structures used in the past consists of the connection of neutral wire to negative of DC bus in the inverter, thus avoiding the need of split capacitors at the DC bus. The LC coupling and a particular control of the DC voltage at the coupling C allow the use of low voltage at the DC bus and provide a symmetry of available voltage, in the current controller, during ton and toff. The paper includes a general discussion of the new structure, comparing it with the classical L coupled shunt APFs and presents the control method to obtain the above mentioned voltage symmetry, which allows lower DC bus voltage and lower values of coupling L. Simulation and experimental results are given to show the behavior of the system, used for harmonics cancellation.
