Abstract: In the article dynamic methods of diagnosing of a diesel engine with an electrical starter, working in transient and unsteady regimes, are offered. The method is based on the analysis of characteristics of diesel engine working processes during transient regimes and at continuous control of power/energy balance. The offered method allows estimate most full a technical condition of power installation.

Abstract: Commonly applied in shipbuilding electrical networks with insulated neutral point are not able to assure against electric shock. Authors want to present a new approach to solution of this problem. The new idea is based on active compensation of shock current using current sources inserted between phase wires and metallic hull. Specific properties of ship network require solution of two basic problems: speed of action and accuracy in generation of compensating currents. Possibility of realization of both problems is presented in the paper.
