| | Contactless Power Transmission: Linear Positioning of the Moving Element

Abstract: In wide position range contactless power transmission applications, linear transformers need their
secondary moving part to be positioned. Several principles are shown and two are described:
positioning by primary electrical quantities analysis or on board measurement coils. Depending on the
type of application, one or the other solution will be chosen.
