Abstract: With escalating global environmental concernsand the need for sustainable technologicalsolutions, it is necessary to assess theenvironmental impact of power electronicsconverters in the context of mass electrification ofour societies. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is amature method, but it relies on precise Life CycleInventories (LCI) to provide relevant estimations. However, given the challenges in obtainingmanufacturing stage inventories frommanufacturers, this paper aims to present aparametric LCI (PLCI) of power modules for themanufacturing stage based on experimental datainventory collected from several devices. Theparameters considered here are based on themanufacturer's available geometric data inconjunction with material options andcharacteristics like the power module (PM)topology and number of dies. Both materials andprocesses are considered, and the model is madeindependent of the semiconductor technology, although one option is available. The method ispresented here, and the inventory model is madefully available to support the LCA of powerconverters, including power modules.
