Abstract: This paper presents a real-time prognosis technique for estimating life consumption in power modules. Physics-of-Failure models combined with real-time compact-models are employed to provide an online life estimation. A test case example of life prediction for power modules under the influence of a real-life wind turbine load profile is presented.
