![]() | Power Electronics and Drives. The Ever Competing Game Towards the Best Solution
By F. Blaabjerg; M. P. Kazrnierkowski | |
Abstract: Power electronics and drives are now mature
technologies. The major reasons are the potential of significant
energy savings, increased performance in industrial automation
and improved performance in a number of appliance
applications. Power electronics and drives are multidisciplinary
and they represent a state-of-the-art of different
technologies. In the technology areas there are always a
technical competition about what is the best for a given
application. This summary will discuss which competitions both
academic and industry will face in the next decade in respect to
power electronics and especially drives.
