Abstract: Based on the identification of major EMI sources in power semiconductor inverter circuits a novel EMC compliant Power MOSFET driver architecture (patented EP 0756 782 B1) with switching times as low as 200ns is presented. The driver is part of an EC motor controller test chip. Measurements on the demonstration board prove the performance.

Abstract: The paper presents a resonant technology originally been developed as a versatile design platform for multiple output power supplies. The theory of operation will be shown. The most important features of this technology are explained - the low interaction between the different outputs, both statically as well as dynamically and the possibility to maintain output regulation when the load is reduced to zero.
