Abstract |
A method for the control of a single phase voltage type (PWM) inverter that can generate arbitrary waveforms in a wide frequency region is presented. The feature of this method is that single-phase rotation coordinate transformation is applied. A 90 degrees phase shifter is required, although there is no ideal phase shifter. The operational characteristics are experimentally compared using two kinds of quasi phase shifters. Generation of sinusoidal and rectangular waves was verified for the inverter using both methods. However, some problems of both phase shifters are identified for the generation of arbitrary waveforms. |
