Abstract |
The paper presents a comparison of two permanent brushless synchronous magnet motor structures realized with same stator geometry and with different types of rotor: the radial ring magnet rotor (RM) and the inerior permanent magnet (IPM) rotor type. There motors are designed for a mass production for an electric power steering application. The important factors for an electric power steering applications like: cogging torque, power density, sizing and robustness are compared. |
