Abstract |
This paper presents the parameter analysis and
the performance characteristics of non-salient pole three-phase
ac generator equipped with permanent magnets (PM) and
damper windings in rigid network and in isolated network
operation. By analyzing the results given by analytical
calculations and a two axis vector equivalent circuit based
simulation model of the PM-machine, acceptable design
parameters for network-connected PM-generators are found.
The theoretical results are validated by practical experiments
carried out on a 5.2kW prototype axial flux permanent magnet
machine. |
