Abstract | The behaviour of an induction machine with static and dynamic eccentric rotor during the starting process is analysed by finite element method. A 13 kW, 1500 rpm squirrel cage induction motor is used as example for numerical investigations. The results include currents of stator winding, electromagnetic torque and unbalanced magnetic pull. The frequency spectrum of stator currents, and time and space harmonics of radial forces and airgap field are also presented in no-load steady-state. | |||||
