Abstract |
DC/DC converters operating in Discontinuous
Capacitor Voltage Mode have inherent power factor correction
capability and continuous input current. The aim of this
paper is to find the topology best suited for power factor
correction and having minimum switch stress. First, the
Discontinuous Capacitor Voltage Mode is presented and the
most advantageous topology is identified. A detailed analysis
of this topology is made, leading to design criteria. Finally,
design example and simulation results are presented. |
