| Abstract |
The efficiency of the electrical system of doubly-fed induction generators, for variable speed wind turbines, in comparison to other electrical systems has been investigated. It has been found that there is a possibility to gain a few percent in energy efficiency using a doubly-fed induction generator compared to an ordinary induction generator equipped with a full-power inverter. |
