Abstract   There are several aspects to be considered in connecting high frequency switching converters to the grid, as for example, in all front-end rectifiers used in UPS, adjustable speed drives etc. High frequency switching distortions due to modulation must be minimized as much as possible from being injected into the grid and the system must be able to reject low frequency harmonic distortions from the grid or the load end. Analysis of the harmonic distortions in the LCL-filter based, 3-Dimensional Space Vector Modulated split-capacitor boost rectifier is done for harmonics at both high and low -frequency ranges. In both these frequency ranges, the THD of the input current must be maintained within specific limits and also a high dynamic performance of the system ensured.
