High performance three-phase dc-to-dc resonant converter

Abstract |
In this paper, a three-phase dc-dc converter using
high frequency modified series-parallel resonant converter
topology is proposed. A systematic design procedure for the
converter is outlined and prototype converter of 2.5 KW rating
is built-up using the design procedure. To evaluate the
performance, the converter is simulated in PSIM. The
simulation & experimental results are presented to show its
performance under variable load condition. To regulate output
voltage, variable frequency control using digital signal
processor (DSP) is implemented. The proposed converter
maintains zero-voltage switching for the complete range of load
variation and requires a narrow variation in the switching
frequency for its output voltage regulation. The converter has
good part load efficiency and reduced device stresses. |
