| Abstract |
In this paper the automatic detection of industrial
heat sources is presented. The proposed method processes the
thermal band images acquired by the TM sensor on board
Landstat 5 satellite. It is based on a morphological image
processing method which removes negligible heat sources such
as sun-exposed materials, while preserving the significant ones.
It can be used to estimate the energy losses by industry and as
tool for large-scale energy conservation methods. |
