| Abstract |
Recently proposed Z-source inverter, based on typical Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) switches topology and special Z network, is able to boost variable DC voltage to supply AC loads. This feature is very suitable in renewable energy systems (fuel cells, solar stacks) and other applications where in-directional DC/AC step-up conversion is required. In power range up to several kW a single-phase system is preferred. The paper shows features of single-phase Z source inverter on the base of simulation tests and laboratory investigations of the low power laboratory model. |
