Fuzzy Logic Controller with Limited Number of Control Rules for DC/DC Converters

Abstract |
General purpose fuzzy logic controllers for dc/dc converters provide good performance. However to guarantee acceptable signal response they require large amount of control rules and fuzzy sets. This fact makes that kind of controllers hard to implement, even on microprocessor based systems. This paper proposes fuzzy logic controller structure for dc/dc converters with limited number of control rules, number of sets and membership functions. Simulation results are provided for buck and boost dc/dc converters cases with three and more conversion ratios, in order to investigate performance of proposed FLC structure. |
