Abstract |
the paper introduces a three level (TL) non-isolated bi-directional DC-DC converter to control charge and discharge of the ultracapacitor tanks (UCT), which are used as accessorial power supply of an electric vehicle (EV) propulsion system. The principle of circuit operation of the proposed converter is described in detail with mathematical analysis. The relationship between the duty cycle of the power devices in the DC-DC converter and the ratio of the input voltage and the output voltage of the converter is given and simulation results are presented to verify the concept. |
