Abstract |
Information and communication technologies (ICT)
are the main drivers for changes in logistics and logistics
education, too. To enable students and trainees to cope with the
increasing complexity of the logistics world in an effective and
efficient way not only an improved transfer of theoretical
knowledge on logistics processes and systems but the gaining of
practical experience in logistics process control and management
is crucial. For this, hybrid lab sessions are offered to enable
physical experiments for controlling logistics processes by
applying knowledge gained from working with a series of elearning
modules beforehand. Further development goes towards
a virtual lab providing improved functionality and options for
practicing understanding of logistics process control and selftesting
individual solutions. The paper presents the approach and
discusses influences on students’ teamwork and communication
abilities. |
