Abstract   The following paper presents a slip-ring induction generator operated in the stand alone mode. The sensorless control method called Direct Voltage Control allows for fixed amplitude and frequency of the generated stator voltage. The star connected stator permits the unbalanced load can be supplied from the generator. However the neutral wire must be connected to the stator neutral point. In unbalanced load supply case the control method consist of two parts. The main part is responsible for the stator voltage amplitude, frequency and phase, whereas the second part is responsible for the stator voltage asymmetry correction. The positive and negative sequence components of the stator voltage vector represented in the two independent coordinates systems are used in the control system. An proposed Direct Voltage Control method equipped in voltage asymmetry correction algorithm was proved in the simulation and laboratory tests and the results are presented in the paper.
