Abstract |
The paper deals with a predictive control technique applied to a NPC-three level Voltage Source Rectifier
(VSR), with PWM modulation. By means of some unrestrictive
simplificative hypotheses, simple formulas are proposed to work
out converter optimized switching functions, which are able to
obtain current values equal to the imposed ones at the end of
every sampling interval. Redundancy of the three-level structure is used to maintain constant the total and the middle-point voltage of the dc-link. Both numerical and experimental
investigations are carried out on significant case-studies with
reference to heavy transient operations in order to verify the
performance of the proposed predictive algorithm. |
