In this paper, two kinds of novel but simple control strategies for current controlled matrix converter are proposed and presented. One of the methods is based on three-level hysteresis comparator, and the other is based on four-level hysteresis comparator. The latter can result in a lower average switching frequency. Both controllers work with current components represented in stationary coordinate system. These two methods have all major advantages of both SVM and HCC control techniques, and can help to greatly reduce the system complexity compared to traditional SVM based matrix converter control system. Simulation results are presented to show the performance of both of these two HCC controllers for matrix converter. |
