In this paper, the two most important effects distorting the output voltage of a tree-phase
voltage source inverter are analyzed. The effects are the forward voltage of the freewheeling diode as
well as the on-voltage of the power switch and the insertion of dead-time intervals by the inverter control
circuitry. Although these effects are different, a common description is provided by the presented
theory. The distortions are modeled by a so-called error voltage, which is superposed with the reference
voltage. |
