| Abstract |
In this paper, the device loss characteristics of the five-level inverter applying a pulse amplitude modulation
(PAM) control method are compared with that of a pulse width modulation (PWM) control method. In
the proposed control method, the generated losses at switching devices in the five-level inverter will be
reduced by adjusting the dc link voltage. |
