| Abstract |
Recent research developments of bearingless drives are
briefly summarized. Definitions and principles of bearingless
motors and generators are described. Several typical
configurations of bearingless drives are introduced. Control
methods and characteristics of several types of bearingless motors
are reviewed such as reluctance, homopolar, permanent magnet,
induction and switched reluctance motors. |
