 Abstract   In addition to the time pressure the development and design in motion control is currently facing the challenge of an easy and open bus system for real time communication, especially in the field of drive- and steer-by-wire applications. For this purpose a new rapid prototyping system including the drive power electronics and all needed sensor equipment has been developed.
