Abstract |
The paper describes analysis of high temperature
superconducting (HTS) coil properties. The aim of analysis is
design of coil with maximum inductance at given coil wire
length. Also distribution of magnetic field is important because
superconducting phenomena exist only below allowable flux
density and it depends on direction of magnetic flux. The paper
is looking for coil toroidal in shape with circular cross-section
area of coil. The coil with ferromagnetic core is taken into
account. Windings of the coil are made from rectangular
superconducting wire. The cross-section of the wire is 2.5 mm2
and total length about 300 m. The whole analysis is carried out
using ANSYS software based of Finite Elements Method.
Inductance of coil and stored energy are calculated at
assumption of 100 Aof direct current per wire. |
