| Abstract |
This paper discusses the possible topologies
and promising approaches towards direct single-phase AC-AC
conversion of the mains voltage for audio applications. When
compared to standard Class-D switching audio power ampliers
with a separate power supply, it is expected that direct conversion
will provide better efciency and higher level of integration,
leading to lower component count, volume and cost, but at the
expense of a minor performance deterioration. |
