Abstract |
A quick response Induction Motor (IM) drive,
insensitive to parameter and operating condition changes can be
achieved using modern control techniques such as Fuzzy Logic
and Sliding Mode Control (SLMC). This paper presents
performance comparison of Sliding Mode Control, Combined
Fuzzy-Sliding Mode Control, and Conventional Fuzzy Logic
Control when they are applied to the outer-loop speed regulator
of IM vector drive. The control dynamics for speed response and
impact load disturbances are investigated. The results
demonstrated the superiority of the conventional Fuzzy Logic
Control over the other two controllers |
