| Abstract |
In this paper the design procedure of a novel permanent-magnet linear actuator is described. The main focusing point is to choose a proper geometry of the actuator components in order to meet the special specifications required by the intended application (very high dynamic, short-stroke, small volume and low power dissipation). Combined analytical and finite-element calculations are used to optimise the actuator performance. Calculation and simulation curves demonstrate the design results. |
