| Abstract |
Modern advances in simulation allow circuit
designers to improve the reliability of their systems. Device
utilisation can be greatly improved and failure reduced by
understanding the device switching characteristics and ensuring
that its performance stays within these bounds. This paper
describes the implementation of an online switching device
protection system backed up by simulation and confirmed by
measured data in a resonant converter system. The same method
can be applied in any converter where this could be found
beneficial. |
