| Abstract |
In this paper an optimised speed measurement method
for incremental encoders is presented and fully analysed. The
algorithm is based on a novel mixed time and frequency
measurement of the encoder signals. Very high dynamic
performance and accuracy are guaranteed in all the operating
conditions The iterative formulation of the algorithm and the
limited hardware requirements allows its implementation by
means of a standard microcontroller (i.e. TMS 320F243). |
