Abstract |
An improved zero-voltage and
zero-current-switching (ZVZCS) full-bridge (FB) PWM
bi-directional DC-DC converter employing modified voltage
clamping circuit is proposed to alleviate voltage ringing and
overshoot in secondary rectifier side due to resonance for
conventional full-bridge ZVZCS DC-DC converter. The
converter can achieve effective zero-voltage switching (ZVS) for
leading-leg switches and zero-current switching (ZCS) for
lagging-leg switches. It has advantages including without
additional lossy components, lower switching losses, reduced
conduction losses and bi-directional power flow. The
operating principle and characteristics of the converter are
analyzed. The proposed converter was verified by
implementing an IGBT-based experimental circuit. |
