Abstract   The paper presents practical results and ANSYS field calculations of converter for contactless electrical energy transmission. In the converter a transformer with separated core is applied to contactless energy transmission via magnetic field. A gap between parts of the core varies in a wide range. A capability of energy transferring by the 2U transformer versus air gap length0, and also efficiency, voltage ratio of the transformer with resisti0ve load was considered. In the converter a large leakage inductive reactances are compensated by capacitors connected in series to the transformer’s windings. Presented results concern mostly on impact of air gap variation on the phenomenon the core and on the system working near resonance state with constant frequency. For 2U and pot core type transformer, on the basis of ANSYS calculations of the equivalent circuit parameters, a simulation results for the contactless electrical energy transmission system has been realized.
