Abstract |
This paper presents systematic design of Modified
Series-Parallel resonant converter (MSPRC) for its operation in
high input line power factor mode with minimum total kVA
rating of the reactive components. A step-by-step design
procedure for high power factor operation and reduction of the
stresses on the resonant components of the converter is given.
PSPICE simulation results of a typical MSPRC are given to
validate the analytical design procedure. Finally, results on a
laboratory prototype are presented to substantiate the simulation
results. |
