Abstract |
Design and analysis of high current, very low noise
power supply for laser diode bars is presented. Special attention
was made to reduce EMI (electromagnetic interference) and
other generated noise and increase efficiency especially at lowload
or no-load operation. Presented power supply is softswitched
ZVS-CV (zero voltage switching – clamped voltage)
type with special resonant components included and intelligent
controller. Experimental results as well as electrical design
guidelines are presented, and problem areas are outlined. The
experimental power supply tested in the laboratory has 1.6kW
output at 20V 80A, achieving 96% efficiency at full load and
18W losses at no load operation. |
