Dynamics in pulse width modulated dc-dc converters
can undergo several kinds of bifurcations and consequently
different dynamics are likely to occur. Before Hopf bifurcation,
the usual operating dynamics, that is, a cycle synchronised with
the modulating signal (1-periodic orbit), can coexist with the
quasiperiodic dynamics that tends to be a long and highamplitude
cycle if the frequency of switching is increased. In
this paper, averaged models are used to deal with bifurcations of
these low-frequency oscillations, and the results are checked by
simulation and experimentation. |
