Abstract |
Double layer capacitors (DLC) for power electronic
applications are emerging devices. Potential applications are in
short time UPS or peak load shaving in combination with other
power supply devices. The modelling of these elements is a hard
task in particular when it is necessary to simulate a complex
system e.g. in power electronic or automotive applications.
Accuracy and low numerical complexity are two important
targets. This paper presents an improved model for DLC which
consists of four RC branches. A method to identify circuit
parameters is presented. Measurements of a double layer
capacitor are presented and circuit behaviour is compared with
experimental results. |
