Abstract |
Switched reluctance motors (SRMs) are expected as a
dominant electric vehicle’s motors and many driving methods
have been proposed. But unfortunately, studies about the
braking process of SRM are few and far between. Considering
the complex magnetic behaves in braking process, instead of
some conducting in-vehicle research, we construct a simulation
model based on Matlab/Simulink tool. This model contains an
8/6 SRM non-linear dynamic model and a vehicle body dynamic
model including kinematics friction and windage loss. Based on
the simulation model, we have studied for many combination of
starting angle of braking exciting signal and its pulse width.
Under cut and try, we have found that a wide pulse width will
balance cupper loss, kinematics friction loss and windage loss.
Another interesting result is that the electronic braking will
consume the energy from battery at lower speed ranges. |
