Abstract |
In this paper, the analysis of a Direct and an Indirect
Speed Control of a Variable Speed Wind Turbine in the
maximum power tracking operating zone is presented. The main
objective in this operating zone is to obtain the best aerodynamic
efficiency as possible, and thus, to decrease the cost of wind
energy. After a description of the studied system, the test bench
and the considered control strategies, the controllers are tested
on the 18 kW experimental rig. Different tools are used to
evaluate the trials results. These results show that the DSC
induces a better aerodynamic efficiency but with higher power
and drive torque fluctuations. |
