Abstract |
In this paper a control scheme for doubly fed
induction generators for wind turbines is presented. The stator
is directly connected to the power system grid while the rotor is
fed via an AC/DC/AC converter. The power system side
converter is modeled and controlled using a voltage vector
oriented dq reference frame. Thus, the d axis current
component can be used to control the active power delivered to
the converter and, consequently, to regulate the DC bus voltage.
The q axis current component is forced to zero in order to
achieve unity power factor. The side of the converter connected
to the induction machine rotor is controlled to allow real and
reactive generated powers to be independently imposed. A stator
flux oriented control scheme is used. |
