| Abstract |
Problems of the Daugava Hydro Power Plants’ (HPP)
hydro units participation in frequency control in electric power
system Latvenergo are considered. Plavinas and Riga HPP are
equipped with different types of turbines. It causes different
approach to hydro units’ application for frequency control.
Main operational characteristics of hydro units are considered.
Possible frequency control modes are presented for each Hydro
Power Plant as well as problem of coordination of operational
characteristics for two power plants. |
