Abstract |
The performance of a 1.7 MVA wind-power doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) under network fault is studied using simulator developed in MATLAB-Simulink. The simulator consists of the DFIG analytical model, the detailed frequency converter model including passive crowbar protection, and model of the transformer. The rotor-side frequency converter is controlled by a modified direct torque control (DTC). Simulation results show the transient behavior of the doubly fed induction generator when a sudden voltage dip is introduced with and
without the crowbar implemented. |
